Information You Add to the App
The app is designed to help you organize home and vehicle maintenance. Depending on what you choose to enter, your records may include:
- Maintenance task names, due dates, completed dates, recurrence settings, and notes.
- Filter sizes, locations, replacement schedules, and related notes.
- Appliance names, brands, model numbers, serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty details, and service history.
- Car maintenance records such as mileage, service dates, costs, notes, and reminder dates.
- Photos, receipts, labels, warranty documents, or other images you choose to attach.
How Information Is Stored
Your app records are stored locally on your device using app storage. Photos selected by you may be copied into the app's private storage area so they can stay linked to your records. We do not operate a cloud account system for this release, and the app does not send your maintenance records, receipts, photos, appliance details, or car records to our servers.
App Permissions
The app may request or use these permissions to provide core features:
- Notifications: used to show maintenance reminders you create.
- Vibration: used with reminder alerts when supported by your device settings.
- Run after restart: used to restore scheduled reminders after your device restarts.
- Photos or media picker: used only when you choose to attach a photo, receipt, label, or document image to a record.
- Internet or browser access: used when you open website links such as privacy policy or support pages.
Advertising and Analytics
The current release does not include AdMob, advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs. If advertising or analytics are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before that release is published, and the app listing will describe any added data practices.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your in-app maintenance records with advertisers or data brokers. Information may be handled by your device operating system, Google Play, your browser, your email app, or other services only when you choose to use those services, such as installing the app, opening a website link, sending a support email, or using device backup features.
Retention and Deletion
Records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Some Android devices may include app data in device backups depending on your personal Google or device settings. You can also manage app permissions from Android Settings.
Children's Privacy
Home Maintenance Reminder is intended for household maintenance organization and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Because the app stores records locally, the security of your data depends on your device security settings, backups, and access controls. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock and keeping your device software updated.
